Types and Sub-types

The types and subtypes system appears to bind each toy to a single type. However, many toys can belong to a number of different categories. This leads to odd side-effects, like seeing prostate massagers in the For Lesbian Couples target pages (because Anal type?), or not finding a certain toy if looking under a type that it has not been set to (a packer listed under strap-ons).

I suggest a tagging system instead, where a one-to-many relationship can be expressed and toys can show up under several different type filters.

I did a LOT of thinking when I made the category/type system, and ultimately decided to keep it with each product is indeed limited to 1 type. You see, from a usability perspective, I absolutely hate how a product on Amazon can be listed under 4 different categories for example.

Once the products are all double-checked and have verified information, they should all be placed in the correct types so that you don't see odd results for targets like Lesbian couples like you mentioned.

So while I understand your idea with the tagging system, I am not changing the overall design of the type-system any time soon, but thanks for the suggestion nevertheless, very much appreciated!
